Serynix: For Everything You Wonder About

Image tool

Image & SVG to Base64 converter

Encode an image as Base64 for HTML, CSS, JSON or a data URI, entirely in your browser.

Encode or decode an image

Choose an image to get a ready-to-copy Base64 result, or paste encoded image data to decode it.

Drop an image here

or choose a file from your device

PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF or SVG · up to 30 MB. Files stay in your browser.

How to use the encoded result

Upload an image, then choose the output syntax that matches where you will paste it. A data URI includes the MIME type and can go straight into an HTML image source or CSS URL. Raw Base64 is only the encoded bytes.

Base64 increases the amount of text needed to represent an image. It is an encoding method, not compression. For large images, a normal file URL is usually easier to maintain.

Common questions

Can I use an SVG?

Yes. SVG text is read as UTF-8 before encoding. Keep SVG from an untrusted source out of executable page contexts unless you have reviewed and sanitized it.

Does the tool upload my image?

No. Encoding and decoding happen in your browser. Your image is not sent to Serynix by this tool.
