PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF and AVIF files; up to 8 images, 30 MB each, 90 MB and 60 megapixels per batch. Animated images are rejected. Images stay in your browser.

What compression can change

Lower quality settings can reduce bytes at the cost of image detail. WebP and JPEG respond to the quality slider; PNG uses lossless encoding and may stay large. Always inspect the result at a useful size before using it.

A target size is a goal, not a guarantee. Some files cannot reach it without changing dimensions or format, and an already efficient source can become larger after re-encoding.

Common questions

Does this keep embedded metadata?

Canvas export normally creates a fresh image without the source camera metadata. Keep your original if you need that information.

Are my images sent to a server?

No. The browser processes your selected files locally.
