Resizing changes pixel dimensions. It cannot restore detail missing from the original. Animated files are not accepted. Files are processed in your browser.
Fit, crop or stretch
Fit keeps the whole image inside your chosen dimensions. Crop fills the exact size by trimming edges from the centre. Stretch fills the exact size by changing the proportions. Use the preview to judge which works for your image.
Pixel dimensions describe the file itself. Percentage resizing is relative to the original width and height. Increasing either number cannot recreate detail the source does not contain.
Common questions
Why is a fitted image smaller than my requested size?
Fit preserves the full image and its aspect ratio. When the image and target box have different shapes, one edge ends up shorter.
Can I resize an animated GIF?
Animated files are not accepted because resizing them with this browser tool would remove their motion. Export a still frame first.
